Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (INEGI)

Research and Technology Organisation (RTO), created in 1986, to carry out technologically based research and innovation activities, focusing on technology transfer to the industry at large. INEGI is a private, non-profit, public utility institution, recognized by the Ministry of Economy as a Technology and Innovation Centre – CTI. Its research infrastructure includes a broad set of well-equipped laboratories and an extensive engineering tools base for supporting its R&D activity, as well as the production of industrial or commercial prototypes. Among other, INEGI develops advanced monitoring systems for evaluation of structural integrity of materials and components with coherent and incoherent image sensing.
